It was only a couple of days into my first business trip to Taiwan when I thought ‘hell, I could live here’. The people were incredibly welcoming, the food was some of the best in the world and there were endless cultural sights, enjoyable attractions and hidden gems to explore.

Over the next two years, I returned again and again – always trying to fit in a few ‘off days’ during my work schedule. But it was never enough – I knew I wanted to live in Taiwan.

It was in July 2019 that this became a reality.

And 5 months later, Wandering Taiwan was created. The aim was not only to be a way for me to document my life as an expat, largely for an audience of curious friends back home, but also with the hope of sharing the magic of this much underrated destination to a wider audience.

I want to show you everything I love (and potentially don’t) about Taiwan.

If you have any questions about any of the posts on Wandering Taiwan please do not hesitate to let me know. If you have any recommendations for places I should visit, restaurants I should try, hikes I should take or anything else, I’d love to hear from you too.
